Nora is the female rival character in Pokémon Insurgence.

In the game

The player's first interaction with Nora occurs at the bottom of the Midna Mine, where she appears to be training her Celebi as it uses Tesseract to revert a group of fossils to their forms when they were still alive. She does not notice the player approach her, which causes her to immediately fear for the safety of Celebi and herself but her fears dissolve when Mew reveals itself to the two of them. Nora explains the prophecy that predicts that the cults will be brought down by a certain trainer chosen by one of the pixie Legendary Pokémon. Nora appears relieved by the fact that prophecy doesn't necessarily refer to her, indicating that she prefers peace over violence and fighting. She then returns to Midna Town's Trainer School to attend the tournament there.

In the Trainer School tournament, the player ultimately ends up being paired against Nora in the final round. After defeating Nora, the teacher offers both finalists a prize for their amazing battle. Nora seems motivated by her loss and decides to travel the region to give herself more experience and strength against the cults.

The player's next encounter with Nora takes place in the Ancient Ruins, where Nora demonstrates that although she prefers not to seek out conflict, she will not hesitate to protect abused and oppressed Pokémon. Therefore, she joins with the player as they attempt to stop three Abyssal Cultists from bullying an innocent Riolu. When the cultists are defeated, Nora and the player both watch as the mother Lucario appears, Mega Evolves, and then makes the cultists disappear. Nora is left awestruck by the power of Mega Evolution before departing from the player to continue her journey.

Nora is seen again as the player leaves the Suntouched Gym after defeating Orion. She then follows Harmony inside of the Gym and stands next to the player as they watch the events involving Perfection. After the Perfection cultists leave, Nora promises both Orion and Harmony that she and the player have as much of a reason to keep secrets from the cultist, allowing Harmony to leave with her mind put at ease. Before leaving Nora then gifts the player with the Instant Lapras.

In Metchi Town, Nora appears before the player again, this time requesting a battle to see how much experience both of them have gained since their last battle. Once she has been defeated yet again, Nora informs the player that Damian somehow found out about both Mew and Celebi and therefore would like the player to stress the importance of him keeping his mouth shut about them if he/she sees him.

Nora appears much later in the game in Utira Town with Damian as they plan to search for a prophecy in the library. After locating the Abandoned Wing, the trio is given the opportunity to interact with the prophecy by Zachary. As the Ancient Oracle appears from the prophecy and is defeated, the oracle informs the trio that one of the trainers chosen by the pixies will defeat the cults before joining the Infernal Cult. This leads Nora into a state of panic, which ultimately leads to her taking out some of her anger on Damian. Damian, hurt by Nora's insults, departs from the library as Nora reflects on her actions and quickly realizes that what she said was unnecessarily harsh. Nora leaves the library as she attempts to find Damian and apologize to him.

The player unites with Nora once again in the Sonata Gym, where she informs Harmony that the hospital in Sonata Hills has lost all of its power. The player hurries over to the basement of the hospital to find Damian, Nora, and Harmony confronting Reukra and Taen as Harmony attempts to convince Reukra to turn the power back on. After Harmony agrees to allow Reukra access to her father, Malde, Damian follows the two upstairs to observe Reukra's plan, leaving Nora to explain that Damian still isn't speaking to her after what happened in Utira Library before she hurries upstairs to observe as well. As Harmony goes about injecting Malde with the syringe containing Pokérus, Damian excuses himself from the room, stating that he doesn't like needles. After Harmony finishes the procedure and Malde's appearance changes, Damian noisily bursts into the room again, causing Malde to become alert and kidnap him before escaping from the hospital. Harmony and Nora excuse themselves to hunt down Malde and Damian as they leave the player to contact Anastasia in Kepler City about Perfection.

At the Fiery Caverns, Nora joins the player as they confront Zenith at the end of the cave. Zenith reveals himself to have been the librarian at the Utira Library, meaning that the Infernal Cult has been aware of one of the allies' betrayal the entire time. After Zenith battles and is defeated by the player and Nora battles the grunt accompanying him, Zenith summons Groudon without using a sacrifice, as he muses that a sacrifice wasn't needed because Groudon has been within their grasp for quite some time. Nora fears the consequences of the Infernal Cult having possession of Groudon for such a long period of time and heads back to the library to do some more research.

As the player faces off against Taen at the Dragon Ruins, Nora joins the player as they witness Taen attempt to fuse Reshiram, Zekrom and Kyurem together to resurrect the Original Dragon. Nora informs Taen that he needs to know the name of the Original Dragon in the middle of the ritual, causing him to give up on fusing the legendary dragons and instead fuses Kyurem and Reshiram together before forcing Nora and the player to team up and engage him in a multi-battle. After Taen is defeated, Reshiram returns to Orion as Zekrom escapes, causing Taen to vow to take revenge against the allies before leaving the scene. Once Nora explains a theory that she had concerning the name of the Original Dragon, she leaves.

When the player tries to go through Mt. Rose Base, Nora calls them to meet outside the checkpoint, believing it to be run by the Infernal Cult. The player and Nora are then found by Taen, who tracked them using the player's Mega Ring. In exchange for the DNA of the player's Mew to create Mewtwo, Reukra arranges a meeting with Malde and Damian at Mount Rose. Damian and Malde meet with the player and Nora at Mount Rose, agreeing to help them stop the Infernal Cult and the Cult of Darkrai from using the shards of the Augur's crystal. Nora, along with the player, Diana, and Calreath enter the Infernal Base, however all are soon captured and separated. After Zenith is defeated, Nora escapes the collapsing base with the player and then leaves for Narra Town.

Nora is later found in the Holon Pyramid also helping out the Holon University Research team. She mentions to the player that she was only in the pyramid to get Waterfall. When you first enter the Holon Mountain, Nora will inform you that Professor Maple is acting weird and that the player should keep an eye on him. When Nora is beaten by the player again, she praises the players battle ability and then leave the area.

After the player has completed the Elite Four rematches, Nora is found in Gaea Town. She wants to travel to other regions to experience their Pokémon Leagues and challenges. Torren doesn't have a lot of good memories for her, so she wants a fresh start. Nora hands the player her Celebi, not wanting to release it, and leaves for another region.
