The Crystal Caves are a group of caves accessible by surfing south in Amphitrite City. It is home to several Pokémon containing crystal gems on their bodies as well as a mysterious group of trainers thought to have disappeared from the land of the living.
Walkthrough
When first entering the cave
- Navigate the beginning of the cave until a Tesseract rift has been located.
- Use Tesseract to enter the past, and then walk around to the previously inaccessible section of the cave to the right.
- Once the player is on the right side of the Tesseract rift, use Tesseract again by standing in between the rocks and as close to the Tesseract rift as possible from the right side.
- Enter the next room and maneuver past the two simple boulder puzzles to reach yet another room.
- Upon walking up in the next room, the player will be joined Nora and a presently unnamed character who appears to have some connection to the pixie Pokémon as well.
- Once the unnamed character finishes speaking, walk north and surf across the water to enter the final cave, where a legendary Pokémon awaits the player.
After earning the 8th Badge
- Enter the cave again and head towards the cave where the player met with Nora in Area 4 during their previous visit to the caves.
- Before reaching the cave, the player is stopped by and forced to battle Jaern in Area 3.
- After defeating Jaern, continue towards Area 4.
- Speak with the Giratina "cultist" and then use Hyperspace Hole to open a portal to the Void Gauntlet in the upper right corner of the room.
After defeating the Elite Four
- Return to where the player fought Mew, where a door will now be accessible in the back of the room.
- Enter the doorway to the Home of the Timeless and then proceed to battle against each of the eight Timeless within.
- After defeating the final Timeless trainer, leave the Crystal Caves and await a phone call to indicate where the player should go next.
After completing the Taen, Damian, and Holon Quests
- Once the player has completed all three of the aforementioned Quests and visited the Perfection Base again, they should return to the Crystal Caves and proceed to pass through the cave again in order to revisit the Void Gauntlet in pursuit of Reukra.
