The Battle Frontier is a post game location in Roggan Town which can be accessed in a cave to the right via Rock Climb.
Challenges
Battles held in the Battle Frontier facilities differ from regular battles in a number of ways. When challenging the Battle Frontier:
- Bag items cannot be used.
- Pokémon will not gain experience points or EVs by defeating opponents.
- Pokémon are fully restored after each battle, including any held itemss lost or gained during battle.
- Pokémon encountered will not contribute to a player's Pokédex.
- The following Pokémon, along with their respective alternate forms, are not allowed:
Battle Tower
A challenge in which the player selects three Pokémon to fight seven battles in a row. The player can choose between a 3v3 Singles mode and a 4v4 Doubles mode. Additionally, the player can choose between the Level 50 option and the Open Level option. In the Level 50 challenge, all NPC Pokémon are at level 50 and all player Pokémon above level 50 are set to level 50. In the Open Level challenge, all NPC Pokémon will be at level 50 or at the level of the player's highest level Pokémon, whichever is higher. Rewards are given at the end of each seven-round run.
Prizes:
- 1 Rare Candy (starting prize)
- 1 Rare Candy and 1 Dream Mist (after streak of 30+ battles)
- 1 Rare Candy, 1 Dream Mist, and 1 IV Stone (after streak of 50+ battles)
Battle Arena
A challenge in which the player selects three Pokémon to fight seven 3v3 battles in a row, healing after each round. Unlike the Battle Tower, this challenge does not allow switching and battles are organized into three-turn "face-offs." If neither Pokémon has been knocked out at the end, the judge will select a winner based on three criteria and the losing Pokémon will leave battle. This facility has two different challenges.
Battle Pyramid
This facility is currently not accessible to the player because it does not function properly.
Battle Factory
A challenge in which the player selects three rental Pokémon from a randomized pool of six at the start. Challengers fight seven 3v3 battles in a row. After each round, the player can trade one of their Pokémon for a defeated opponent's Pokémon. All Pokémon given and encountered in this facility are at level 50. Rewards are given at the end of each seven-round run.
Challenge Championship
A tournament with powerful trainers from different regions, such as Gym Leaders and Champions. The tournament consists of three 3v3 Singles battles in a row. The player receives ranks after winning the tournament a certain number of time. Upon a loss, the player's win count will be dropped down to the number needed to achieve the last rank received. All NPC Pokémon are at level 50 and all player Pokémon above level 50 are set to level 50. Rewards are given after completing a tournament based on the player's current rank. Completing this facility for the first time will award the player the Tube Pass, which allows the player to face the Tube Challenge. Reaching the Suzerain rank allows the player to battle and capture Shadow Mewtwo.

Tube Challenge
A challenge that involves battling 12 trainers with Pokémon at Level 115. The Tube Pass is required to start this challenge. At the end of the challenge, the player fights the Arena Master, who has a Level 120 Delta Golurk. The player is able to leave and heal up between each battle and continue later if needed. Delta Golett is rewarded for completing this challenge. Unlike other Battle Frontier facilities, this challenge can only be completed once. Additionally, battles held in this area follow regular battle rules as opposed to battle facility rules.
