Murk Forest is a forest which lies between Nasca Town and Hekate Town. The winding forest is covered with a thick layer of fog which is responsible for a sense of unease among some of the trainers exploring the area. Two Moss Rocks can be found throughout the forest, which allow Eevee to evolve into Leafeon.
The forest is divided into multiple smaller areas. In the Inner Area, the player is able to find a secret shopkeeper. The Spider Area is home to several violent spiders that are terrorizing the forest and its residents. Lastly, there is a Vacant Area where there is nothing to be found except a rock of seemingly no significance.
A Hidden Grotto is located to the east of the southern Moss Rock, along the southern path of the forest.
Head east from the nurse and then follow the path northward.
Surf northward across the water and then follow the path eastward.
Surf around the log blocking the path and then continue southeastward to Hekate Town.
Spider Quest
After accepting the Hiker's quest in Hekate Town, return to the Main Area and enter the Spider Area through a space in the center of the forest.
Battle and defeat or capture the first five Ariados.
To reach the last Ariados, use Heart Swap to switch places with the Manaphy statue in the top-right corner and then hop across the rocks located to the left by walking towards them from atop the high ground.
After defeating the last Ariados, battle the Delta Metang that appears.
Areas of Interest
Inner Area
The inner area of Murk Forest is located west of the stone archway and requires Strength in order to access. Once inside the player will be able to access a house that belongs to a man that sells a number of rare and powerful items as well as a grotto-like area that houses Delta Shinx.
Near the entrance to Nasca Cave is a area of the forest that is covered in spider webs. The entrance of this area is block by a mossy stone until the side quest in Hekate Town is accepted.
Move Tutor
After clearing out the Spider Area, a Bug Catcher moves into the area that will teach the player's Pokémon bug-related moves.
A mostly empty area is found in the northern section of Murk Forest. A large rock can be found within, whose significance does not reveal itself until much later into the game.
In the Inner Area, Delta Shinx can be found in a grotto located behind the shopkeeper's house. This is not to be confused with a Hidden Grotto, as Delta Shinx is the only Pokémon that will appear.
In the Spider Area, the player has to fight and subdue six different Ariados before being given a chance to capture the Delta Metang. Note that this requires Heart Swap in order to complete.
Keldeo appears and can be battled in the Vacant Area if the player enters with Cobalion, Terrakion, and Virizion in their party.
