Diana is the Gym Leader of Selene City's Gym, known officially as the Selene Gym. She specializes in mostly Psychic and Ghost-type Pokémon. The badge that she hands out is the Dreamland Badge. Along with Persephone, she is a former Infernal Cultist.

In the game

Diana appears in Pokémon Insurgence as the Gym Leader of Selene City's Gym. This Gym is the sixth to be challenged by the player. Trainers who defeat her will be given the Dreamland Badge, along with TM29 (Psychic).

Most of the gossip surrounding Diana involves the fact that she is currently dating Calreath, the Gym Leader of Amphitrite City. It is not until the player witnesses the conversation between Diana and Persephone in Selene City that Diana is revealed to be Persephone's sister, who also happens to have some form of connection to Darkrai. However, despite Persephone's insistence that Diana has a relationship with Darkrai, Diana claims to have never even seen it. A bit of Persephone and Diana's history is revealed during this conversation, where it is apparent that Persephone was exposed to some misfortune which lead to her being captured as well as being abandoned by Diana. In spite of Persephone being the leader of a cult, Diana insists that she has her reasons for the unspeakable things that she does, but still does not condone any of her actions as a cultist.

After the player has defeated Calreath in Amphitrite City, Zenith sends a broadcast to all of the people within the city, commanding them to attack Calreath and Diana. Calreath leaves to save Diana and both later join up with the player and Nora at the Infernal Base, but all are captured and separated shortly after. During the events in the Infernal Base, Persephone had taken Diana's Cresselia, planning to use it to lure Darkrai to her at Cult of Darkrai base in Shade Forest. After the confrontation with Persephone, Diana is saved by the player and escapes the collapsing base.

Diana is next encountered in Selene City after completing the post game events in the Dream Realm. She feels bad about what happened between her and Persephone, stating family should come first. Persephone might be the most important person in here life, now more than ever after the events on Mount Rose. Diana hands the player a Parcel to deliver it to Persephone. When you return after delivering the Parcel, Diane thanks the player, giving them Calreath's Manaphy, believing it is what he would have wanted. Diana says she is done being a Gym Leader and trainer, preferring to study Pokémon and help out Professor Sylvan. Diana releases her Pokémon, including her Cresselia, allowing the player to find and capture it near the area.
