The Ancient Tower is a decrepit building that is accessed from the Mysterious Hideaway. As the player scales up the tower, the floors become increasingly filled with cracks and holes that, when stepped on, send the player down to the floor below. More secrets of the tower are revealed if the player is able to enter the tower during an entirely different time period.
Walkthrough
In the present
- Proceed up the stairs on the right side of the room.
- Travel clockwise around the room, using Tesseract to create platforms in the middle of the pits. Continue up to the next floor after reading the note next to the ladder.
- Read the note near the start of the room. Use the bike to ride across the cracked tiles in this room and then proceed to the next floor. If the player rams into a wall or slows down for too long, they will fall back down to the previous floor and need to start over again. Use Tesseract to make another platform appear before reading the note near the ladder at the end of the room and ascending to the next floor.
- The puzzle on the next floor is a harder version of the previous floor. Use the bike to ride across the cracked tiles to the right and then move up to ride across a portion of the floor that is hidden by the tower's support beam. Carefully avoid the cracked floor tiles before reading the next note. Ride across the final set of cracked floor tiles before continuing up to the next floor.
- Read the last two notes on the floor, pick up the egg, and then leave the Ancient Tower.
- Note: Reading all the notes is required for the Delta Ditto quest. This quest is continued post-game, after the player has gained access to Gaea Town.
In the past
- With the 3 legendary beasts in your party, enter the time rift outside the tower and enter the tower, then proceed up to the next floor from either ladder.
- Continue up each of the floors by solving the boulder puzzles.
- On the rooftop, interact with the sign and then battle Ho-Oh.
