Professor Maple is a Pokémon Professor who works on researching Delta Pokémon in the Holon region.
In the game
The player first meets Professor Maple upon being introduced to Holon. The player is tasked with helping explore the region alongside Nora and Maple.
Professor Maple first tasks the player with exploring Holon Desert. While the player is exploring the Holon Pyramid, Maple calls the player with news of a battle outside between two powerful Pokémon. Upon seeing the destruction left by the battle, Maple speculates that the fight was between Regirock and its Delta counterpart.
