Mew is a Psychic-type Mythical Pokémon.

While it is not known to evolve into or from any other Pokémon, it has an alternate forme, Space Mew. Mew will transform into Space Mew when it is Wonder Traded. Instead of going to another player, Mew will change form and return to your PC. Space Mew can be transformed back to its default form by using the move Transform in battle.

It is a member of the Mew duo along with Mewtwo.

Trivia

  • Talking to Mew and selecting "Transform" while it's following the player allows the player to use nearly all the Quartz Flute abilities, minus the abilities limited to the Abyssal and Infernal Bases.
  • Because Wonder Trading Mew will cause it to instead change form and return to the player's PC, it is impossible to receive a Mew through Wonder Trade.
