New Moon is a non-damaging Dark-type move exclusive to Pokémon Insurgence. It is TM62.
Effect
When New Moon is used, darkness will begin to cover the field. This effect will last for 5 turns, holding a Dark Rock increases the duration to 8 turns. This clears any other type of weather, excluding heavy rain, extremely harsh sunlight, and strong winds.
- Increases base power of Dark-type and Ghost moves by 35%
- Decreases base power of Fairy-type moves by 25%
- Allows Lunar Cannon, Shadow Force and Phantom Force to be used instantly
- Causes Morning Sun and Synthesis to heal the user by 33% of max HP
- Causes {m|Moonlight}} to heal the user by 66% of max HP
- Increases Surf's damage by 50%
- Decreases Solar Beam's damage by 70%
- Causes Hone Claws to increase Accuracy and Attack by 2 stages
- Causes Geomancy to increase stats by 1 stage.
- Flash decreases target's Accuracy by 2 stages
- Nightmare deals 50% of target's max HP at the end of each turn
- Reflect and Light Screen cause attacks to deal 4/10 and 8/15 original damage in Single and Double battles respectively.
- Weather Ball becomes a Dark-type move and its power is doubled.
- The following abilities are affected: Shadow Dance, Heliophobia, Absolution, Supercell, Forecast, Bad Dreams, Dark Aura, Fairy Aura.
• Shadow Dance doubles the Pokémon's speed • Heliophobia heals the Pokémon by ⅛ of its max HP at the end of each turn • Absolution increases the Pokémon's Special Attack by 50%, loses ⅛ of its max HP at the end of each turn • Supercell increases the Pokémon's Special Attack by 50% • Forecast transforms Castform to its Cloudy Form • Bad Dreams causes a sleeping opponent to lose 25% of its max HP at the end of each turn • Dark Aura boosts the base power of Dark-type moves by 5/3. However, it therefore reduces the power of Dark-type moves by 3/5 in the presence of Aura Break • Fairy Aura fails and is therefore unaffected by Aura Break
