New Moon is a non-damaging Dark-type move exclusive to Pokémon Insurgence. It is TM62.
Effect
When New Moon is used, darkness will begin to cover the field. This effect will last for 5 turns unless the user is holding a Dark Rock, which increases the duration to 8 turns. This clears any other type of weather, excluding heavy rain, extremely harsh sunlight, and strong winds.
While New Moon is in effect, the base power of Dark-type and Ghost moves will be increased by 35%, and the base power of Fairy moves will be decreased by 25%. In addition to this, the moves Morning Sun and Synthesis will heal the user by 1/3 of the normal amount, Moonlight will heal the user by 1/2 of the normal amount, and Lunar Cannon, Shadow Force and Phantom Force will not require a turn to charge. The power of Surf is reduced by 50% and the power of Freeze Shock is reduced by 70%. The move Hone Claws increases the Accuracy and Attack of the user by two stages instead of one.
Pokémon with the ability Shadow Dance will have their Speed doubled. Pokémon with the ability Heliophobia will regain 1/8 of their maximum HP at the end of each turn. Pokémon with the Absolution Ability will have their Special Attack raised by 50% and lose 1/8 of their HP each turn. Pokémon with the ability Supercell with have their Special Attack raised by 1.5x.
