The Suntouched Gym is the official Gym of Suntouched City, and is the first Gym the player challenges in Pokémon Insurgence. It is based on Fire and Grass-type Pokémon. The Gym Leader is Orion. Trainers that defeat him receive the Thermal Badge.
Gym
There is no puzzle, getting to Orion is a straight walk around the trainers.
The Gym Leader, Orion, builds his team around Fire and Grass-type Pokémon, along with the use of sunlight to power up his Fire-type moves and make Solar Beam activate immediately, among other things. A plain white rock of seemingly no significance is situated next to him.

After defeating Orion

Spoiler warning: This article may contain major plot or ending details. |

|---|
As the player leaves the gym after defeating Orion and earning his Badge, a mysterious female character rushes by them before Nora follows close behind. Once back inside, an intense discussion breaks out between Orion and the new female character, Harmony, before several cultists from Perfection enter the gym while riding on a Kyurem. Their leader, Taen, insists that Orion hands over the white rock and begins to assault him when he refuses. Sensing that Orion is in danger, the white rock seemingly awakens, causing Reshiram to appear in its place. Shortly after appearing, Reshiram leaves, causing the cultists to follow in hot pursuit. However, Reshiram returns quickly and Harmony offers Orion one last word of caution about keeping Reshiram a secret before leaving. Nora turns to follow her lead, but not before giving the player the Instant Lapras.

Trivia
- When the player interacts with Orion's rock, the text displayed says "It's a white rock.". This is a reference to the white rock situated outside of the Mossdeep Space Center in Pokémon Ruby, Sapphire, Emerald, Omega Ruby, and Alpha Sapphire versions which displays the exact same text.
