The Vipik Gym is the official Gym of Vipik City, and is the second Gym the player challenges in Pokémon Insurgence. It is based on a forest theme. The Gym Leader is Xavier. Trainers that defeat him receive the Stinger Badge.
Gym
The gym itself requires the player to navigate through a network of trees, whose insides create dark tunnels that form a maze. Some tunnel exits lead the player to the same location that they had explored before, and some may even take the player all the way back to the start of the maze.
Maze Directions:
- Enter first tree hole
- Move forward until you meet the wall
- Turn left, go forward, then go up and exit the hole
- Go around the ledge (fight the Bug Catcher), and enter the northern tree on your screen
- Turn right and then go south and exit out of that hole
- Face Xavier
The Gym Leader, Xavier, builds his team around Bug and Poison type Pokémon. This gym can be extremely challenging for unprepared teams, as Xavier has extremely fast and hard-hitting Pokémon and is also the first trainer in the game to use a Mega Evolution against the player.
