Depending on the moves Eevee uses, it changes into another Eevee forme complete with type, stats (including HP) and ability. If Eevee transforms into a forme that has a lower base HP stat than the previous forme and would also normally put Eevee's HP below 0 after transforming, Eevee's HP is reduced to 1 instead. This also includes after a battle ends and Eevee exits its Mega Evolved forme.

Protean Maxima
Insurgence
The Pokémon changes form, stats and ability based on the type of move it uses.

Protean Maxima is an ability exclusive to Pokémon Insurgence. It is the signature Ability of Mega Eevee.

Effect

Immediately before using a move of a type that corresponds to an Eeveelution, Mega Eevee will transform into the form corresponding to that Eeveelution, complete with type, base stats (including HP) and ability.

If Mega Eevee transforms into a form that has a lower base HP stat than the previous form and the transformation would normally put Eevee's HP below 0, Eevee's HP is reduced to 1 instead. This also occurs when Mega Eevee transforms back into its default form after a battle ends.
