Breeding Mechanics
The breeding mechanics of Pokémon Insurgence do not follow the rules for any particular generation of the official Pokémon games, but instead incorporate different elements of the mechanics from Generations V and VI, along with its own system for deciding priority for inherited moves. The mechanics mostly follow those of Generation VI, with the notable exception of the inheritance of TM and HM moves, a feature that only existed up to Generation V in the official games.
Inheriting moves
A unique feature of Pokémon Insurgence is the passing down of TM and HM moves while still otherwise retaining the mechanics of Generation VI. However, for Original Pokémon while both the female and male Pokémon can pass down Egg Moves, only the male Pokémon can pass down a TM or HM move, as for Delta Pokémon since they are only able to breed with Delta Ditto there are no Moves passed down from both the male and female Delta Pokémon.
The priority for inheriting moves is as follows:
- Male TMs and HMs pass first.
- Female and Male Egg Moves pass second.
- The moves inherited follow a reverse-alphabetical order, Z-A.
