Interactive Map Location of Vipik City in Torren.

Vipik City is a city located in the southeastern Torren region. It is the hometown of the second Gym Leader, Xavier. A dump disrupts its otherwise peaceful atmosphere.

Walkthrough

When first entering the city

  • Exploring the city reveals that the exit to the Crossroads as well as the entrance to the Vipik Dump are currently inaccessible, which leaves the player to take on the gym in the northwest.
  • Before entering the gym, the player has a brief discussion with Damian that an Abyssal Cultist overhears.
  • After Damian finishes speaking, enter the gym.

After defeating Xavier

  • As the player walks down from the Vipik Gym, a Hiker approaches the player informing them that the Abyssal Cultists have taken Damian into the Vipik Dump.
  • Since the path southward to the Crossroads remains blocked, the player has no choice but to enter the dump.

After clearing the Vipik Dump

  • Exit the city by entering the Crossroads.

Encountering Delta Wooper

  • A girl standing beside the tree stump beneath the Pokémon Center mentions the presence of a strange creature which consumes the treats that she leaves in the tree. She speculates that it must be consuming these treats during the night when she is not present, from 12:00 a.m. to 5:59 a.m.
  • When speaking to the tree trunk, if the player has a treat that can be placed in the tree trunk, they will be given a chance to do so. Though the list of treats can potentially include many different food items, only a portion of them will attract the attention of Delta Wooper.
  • Delta Wooper will appear in front of the tree trunk between 12:00 a.m. to 5:59 a.m. if an acceptable treat is left behind. If an acceptable treat is placed in the tree during this time, the player will need to reload the map by entering a building, flying to a different city, etc.
    • If an unacceptable treat is placed in the tree it can be retrieved from the tree trunk 24 hours after it has been placed.
    • Acceptable treats will disappear from the tree regardless of the player encountering Delta Wooper within the specified time period and cannot be retrieved.
    • The food items which can be placed within the tree trunk are:

Egg hatching chemical

On the second floor of the house furthest to the left, there is a man who has developed a chemical that accelerates the hatching process of Pokémon eggs. He can apply this chemical to the player's eggs, removing one step needed to hatch the egg for every Pokémon Dollar1 that the player pays him.

Vipik Gym

Main article: Vipik Gym

The Vipik Gym is the official Gym of Vipik City, whose Gym Leader, Xavier, specializes in mainly Bug-type Pokémon. Trainers who defeat him are awarded the Stinger Badge, as well as TM76 (Venoshock) as a reward.

Vipik Dump

Main article: Vipik Dump

Several inhabitants of the city complain about the smell of trash coming from Vipik City's dump, located in the eastern part of the city. While the guards standing in front of the dump seem to believe it's too hazardous for a person of the player's age to enter, they don't deter the player from entering once a certain group starts to stir up mischief from inside the dump.

Pokémon

Though there is a pond in the eastern part of the city, no wild Pokémon appear in it.

A Waiter in the house to the left of the Pokémon Center is willing to trade his Sneasel for the player's Floette.

A man on the second floor of the house below the Pokémon Center will sell a Togepi egg to the player for Pokémon Dollar2,500.

Interacting with any of the TVs in the city's houses has a chance of spawning a Rotom.

South of the Pokémon Center is a creepy tree stump which contains Delta Wooper. Consult the Walkthrough section above for more details.
