* Despite having the ability {{ba|Protean}}, Delta Ditto cannot change its type to any type except for {{t|Normal}} because it is unable to learn any moves that are not Normal-type.
* Delta Ditto's appearance changes when its type is changed by {{ba|Protean}}.
** In addition, it is unable to change its form to match its type unless another Pokémon targets Delta Ditto using {{m|Soak}}, {{m|Forest's Curse}}, or {{m|Dragonify}}.
** This trait is shared with other Pokémon that have type-changing abilities naturally in Insurgence: {{p|Kecleon}}, {{p|Arceus}}, {{p|Froakie}}, {{p|Frogadier}}, and {{p|Greninja}}
** As of version 1.2.5, Delta Ditto can learn {{m|Metronome}}, {{m|Copycat}}, {{m|Mirror Move}}, {{m|Me First}}, and {{m|Mimic}}, making it able to change to all of its forms itself.
** Prior to version 1.2.5, Delta Ditto was unable to change to any type other than {{t|Normal}} via Protean due to only being able to learn Normal-type moves.

Delta Ditto (referred to as just Ditto in-game) is a Water-type Delta Pokémon.

It is not known to evolve into or from any other Pokémon.

It can breed with any Pokémon that regular Ditto can breed with as well as Delta Pokémon (other than those whose base forms are in the Undiscovered Egg Group) to produce Eggs of the other's species.

Metal Powder and Quick Powder double Delta Ditto's Defense and Speed, respectively, when held.
