Using a Flygonite, a Flygon can further evolve into Mega Flygon. Its Mega ability, Amplifier, gives a 1.5x power boost to all sound move Flygon uses. Furthermore, Mega evolving Flygon gives it a +10 boost in the Attack base stat, a +60 boost in the Special Attack base stat, and a +30 boost in the speed base stat.

Trivia
Work In Progress.
* Flygon shares its species names with Xatu. They are both known as the Mystic Pokémon in English, and the Spirit Pokémon in Japanese.

* Up until Generation VII, Flygon was the only fully-evolved Pokémon lacking a Hidden Ability that evolves from a Pokémon with a Hidden Ability. This changed with the introduction Alolan Raichu in Pokémon Sun and Moon.
* Flygon has the same base Attack as its base form, Trapinch.
* All of Vibrava's base stats go up by exactly 30 points when it evolves into Flygon.
* Flygon's EV Yield (1 Attack, 2 Speed) is unique.
* Flygon and its pre-evolution are the only Dragon-type Pokémon belonging in the Bug.
* Flygon is the only Pokémon which gains Bug typing when evolving or Mega Evolving.
** Therefore it is also the only Pokémon which loses a type in favor of Bug when evolving or Mega Evolving.
** Flygon is also the only Pokémon to lose its primary type upon Mega Evolving.
* Mega Flygon is the only Pokémon with a base stat total of 620.
* Mega Flygon has the highest base stat total and base Special Attack of all Bug Pokémon in Pokémon Insurgence.

Trivia

  • Flygon shares its species names with Xatu. They are both known as the Mystic Pokémon in English, and the Spirit Pokémon in Japanese.
  • Up until Generation VII, Flygon was the only fully-evolved Pokémon lacking a Hidden Ability that evolves from a Pokémon with a Hidden Ability. This changed with the introduction Alolan Raichu in Pokémon Sun and Moon.
  • Flygon has the same base Attack as its base form, Trapinch.
  • All of Vibrava's base stats go up by exactly 30 points when it evolves into Flygon.
  • Flygon's EV Yield (1 Attack, 2 Speed) is unique.
  • Flygon and its pre-evolution are the only Dragon-type Pokémon belonging in the Bug Egg Group.
  • Flygon is the only Pokémon which gains Bug typing when evolving or Mega Evolving.
    • Therefore it is also the only Pokémon which loses a type in favor of Bug when evolving or Mega Evolving.
    • Flygon is also the only Pokémon to lose its primary type upon Mega Evolving.
  • Mega Flygon is the only Pokémon with a base stat total of 620.
  • Mega Flygon has the highest base stat total and base Special Attack of all Bug-type Pokémon in Pokémon Insurgence.
